Prior to the publication of his first novel, Steve's short stories and poetry were broadcast on BBC Radio Leicester, BRMB (Birmingham) and Radio Northampton, and published in a large number of small press magazines. More recently, he has had short stories published in Interzone, and the small press magazines Peeping Tom, Kimota and the BFS publication Chills.

To date, Steve has written something over one hundred novels, several hundred short stories, over five hundred poems, plays and works of non-fiction.
